Discover our CSR commitment

Since 2018, the Group has deployed a CSR approach to advance the various elements of its Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainable Development Policy.

Numerous results have been achieved in the areas of occupational health and safety, pollution prevention, the circular economy, resource waste management, human resources management and supplier relations.

This CSR policy was updated in 2022 with the completion of the Group’s materiality matrix. As part of this analysis, MBWS identified 17 key CSR issues, which were then submitted to a number of its internal and external stakeholders, enabling it to define the priorities of its CSR policy.

Packaging accounts for a significant proportion of the Group’s greenhouse gas emissions, reaching 20% by 2023. As part of a continuous improvement process, MBWS is working on the eco-design of its packaging to limit its impact. To achieve this, we follow the 3R logic: Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.

FAQ about our reuse project

For the past two years, we have been working with LOOP, a company committed to reuse, to offer a reusable version of our flagship WILLIAM PEEL 70 cl bottle in France. This project aims to minimize waste by using reusable and returnable bottles, thus contributing to a more sustainable life cycle for our products.

Our WILLIAM PEEL 70cl reusable bottles are available in 140 stores including CARREFOUR and MONOPRIX, in the Île-de-France, Bretagne, Pays de la Loire and Alsace regions.

When you buy a WILLIAM PEEL 70cl reusable bottle, you pay a 50-cents deposit. Once the bottle is empty, you can return it to any of the 140 participating stores to collect your deposit. The bottle will then be cleaned and reused, helping to reduce waste.

Reusable bottles offer several advantages, including reduced waste and a smaller carbon footprint. Re-using glass bottles saves 75% energy, 50% water and 79% CO2 compared to recycling a single glass bottle(1).
